Foodie Alert...Reppin' small business eateries

Foodie Alert‼️‼️
Whenever a local food place opens that I'm interested in, I always support and spread the word to others to support as well.

In no particular order, here are some of my favs: πŸ€€
Pink Freddie's Tropical Delights
Lioness Sushi
The Bando242
Tinkerbell's Treats
Treasure Fun Time
Yummies242
Raynak Beverages & Bites
Clean Eats

During the lockdown due to COVID-19, simple pleasures like going out to Potter's Cay Dock for a bowl of conch salad was prohibited. Fortunately, Pink Freddie's has delivery available!!! His salad options fit any craving you may have. I have never had to re-season a salad from. Always on point, always right....just delicious! I've had the curb, whelk and conch salads. Definitely recommend you check out Pink Freddie's.

Being a Bahamian in the Bahamas, we eat seafood very regularly and The Bando242 has made seafood even more exciting. Well seasoned, great tasting seafood boils and great presentation.

I usually order with Raynak when I'm at work for lunch. Great items, tasty and the presentation is awesome.

Whale Point Hotel, Eleuthera BahamasπŸ‡§πŸ‡Έ

Whale Point Hotel

aka

The Castle

4 days, 3 nights...not enough time to take in this beauty.

Like the saying goes, "third time's a charm".
I have made two trips to Eleuthera prior to this one but they were both Governor General's Youth Award (GGYA) trips (hiking and camping) so I didn't get to see much of the island outside of the expedition route. Fortunately, on my third trip I ditched my tent and stayed at "The Castle" as the locals refer to it.

The views from the balcony are amazing. The sound of the waves crashing onto the cliffside will soothe and calm you. There is also a pool that, from the right angle, connects with the ocean and looks like you're in an infinity pool.

On the first morning there, I set my alarm to wake up in time to see the sunrise. I imagined it would be beautiful to see the sun rise up out of the ocean and I was not disappointed. Take a look.

I followed the pathway to the cliffside to get a better view and it was breath taking. It was a great morning walk. I packed OFF insect repellent but I didn't need use it and I was very surprised.

Later that morning I took a swim in the pool. I did not want to get out, the water was warmed by the sun, it was great. I took lots of sunscreen so we were all well protected.

This was a great trip. I enjoyed each day. A well needed staycation.

Please note: all pictures were taken by me. They are not Google pics :-)

We stayed in a two storey 2 bedroom 2 bath villa with a full kitchen, tv, internet and AC. I was told that this hidden gem has been around from the 80s, it is still beautiful and standing firm.
